"Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: not rendering evil for evil or railing for railing, but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing." 1Peter 3:8,9
In this verse it tells us that we should be kind and courteous. It says that we should not give evil for evil. We should bless those that hurt us. By doing this we will receive blessings on our own lives. This is not an easy thing to do. It is not easy to accept criticism or harsh words and do good back to the person that said them. But Jesus says this is what we are called to do. Just like He did when He was here on earth. He knows what we are going through. He went through it Himself.
