The Angel Came To Mary

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest:
Luke 1:26-32a

What If We Treated Every Day As Christmas Day

What if we treated everyday like it was Christmas day?  What would our days be like?  What would our relationships be like?

Would they be better than they are now?  Would we have a better attitude about things?

This is just some thoughts I had today.  I love being able to do little things for people at Christmas.  I am not able to do what other people can do but I can do what I have the ability to do.

What if I did these same little things that I do at Christmastime all year round?  How would that change my little world?

I think someone that was hurting would be blessed.  I think someone would feel a little more loved.

Maybe we could all work on this idea.   Maybe it would become a new fad.  Wouldn't that be great?

What do you think?

Remembering What Christmas Is

What is Christmas about?  We have forgotten the real meaning of Christmas and how holy this holiday is.  In the video below Charles Stanley and his son Andy Stanley talk about Christmas and the holiness of the day.  They also explain how Christians viewed the holiday in the past.

I hope you enjoy watching.

Homemade Christmas Gifts

Hello my friends,
I hope you are well today.  It is amazing to me that Thanksgiving is almost here.  We have plans to go to our daughter's home to celebrate.

Thanksgiving and then Christmas.  So soon.  If you are thinking about making gifts for Christmas now is the time to get busy.  Over at Unoriginal Mom I found some inspiration for my gift projects for this season.  I am not craftsy.  But making gifts will fit my budget better than buying them.  After racking my brain I finally remembered what I am able to make.  Jams and jellies are a good match for me.  I love making jams and jellies and I am comfortable doing it.  Also, people like homemade jams and such.

What are some projects you are working on for Christmas gifts?  Leave a comment and share with us.

Be sure to enjoy Thanksgiving this year.  Don't let the hustle and bustle keep you from a peaceful Thanksgiving celebration.

May I pray for all of us this busy season?

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love and kindness to us all.  Help us to show kindness and love to others.  Give us peace and a calm spirit this holiday season.  Let your peace permeate our being.

You love us so much.  Help us to keep a handle on our attitudes and words.

In Jesus name,
Amen
