The "As If Principle"

Several years ago, a famous psychologist by the name of William James, told about his "As If" principle. He said that if you wanted a quality in your life, act as though you already had it. This technique has power to it. It gets things going. If you are a shy person and have low self-esteem, then start seeing yourself as an outgoing and confident person. A person that can handle any situation. Once these thoughts are imbedded in your consciousness and you start acting in this way and stick with it, you tend to become this new person.
