This week has been a waiting game for us. We are waiting for the storm to hit. Or maybe miss us. Waiting to see what will happen is the hardest thing to do. It kind of grates on your nerves.
We are doing what we can to prepare for the hit. Picking up objects in the yard. Buying extra food. Storing up water. Trying to keep the clothes washed up. Which is close to impossible around here.
Right now things are calm. At least the weather is calm. But by tomorrow the wind will probably start picking up. Then the rain should start. By Sunday we will probably feel the storm. Hopefully it will not be as bad as they are thinking.
So many people are evacuating Florida. It looks like a mass exodus on the highways going up and out of the state. Hopefully we will be able to ride it out in our own home. Whatever happens we will be ok. We will do the hard work that needs to be done. We will pick up the pieces and put things back in order. Maybe even rebuild if necessary.
We trust in God to take care of us and guide us. I hope everyone out there will be safe this coming week.
