Are you having problems and struggles? Probably the people around you are too. It is hard to think or care about what someone else is going through when you get so focused on your own difficulties. You may be in physical pain or emotional pain. You may be having financial trials or relational difficulties. You keep thinking about your problems and there seems to be no solution. They keep getting bigger and bigger and taking up more and more of your thoughts.
One counselor that I have heard said that when you catch yourself mulling over things and worrying about things just say outloud "STOP". Try it. You will see that the thoughts will stop! Then start thinking on something else. If you go back to the bothersome thoughts then again say "STOP!". Keep doing this as many times as needed. Say it as loud as you can. It is a simple thing that works.
