What Would Change if You Started Your Day With the Heart of Jesus?

How would your day start if you woke up with the heart of Jesus working in you instead of your own?
What would you say to those in your home?  What would be the last words you spoke as everyone walked out of your house?
These questions make me think about my life and how I treat others.

"Fearless" by Max Lucado Review

“Fearless” by Max Lucado is a book that gives hope in an age of fear and anxiety. It seems that every time you listen to the news you hear about something else that strikes fear into your heart. The economy is getting worse, another child is abducted, storms causing destruction, and on and on it goes. Mr. Lucado tells us how to be fearless instead of fearful. He speaks to the heart and soul of the problem.

Reading the book can help you see that faith will help you overcome your fear and anxiety. Take action instead of being frozen in indecisiveness. Don’t allow fear to control you: it is the worse thing you can do. One of the quotes in the book is from the Bible: “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27 NLT

I enjoy reading books by Max Lucado. He has a way with words that make things easy to understand. He explains hard to understand ideas and makes them applicable.

I was given the book to review by Booksneeze.com.  This is my honest opinion.

Let's Take Care of Our Veterans

This post is in honor of my neighbor John.  John passed away this week.  He was in his late seventies.  John was a veteran in World War II.  About a year ago he was awarded medals from this war.  It took him this long to receive them.  It took him this long to be recognized as a hero.
For over three years he has been trying to get his pension from being in the military.  Him and his wife were barely making ends meet.  Now he's gone.  His wife has to deal with trying to get his pension so she can keep going.  It is a hard thing to deal with when your loved one has passed away.
This is in his memory and all the other vets that fought for our country.  Click here for a video tribute.

GiveAWay Scout

Hello
I found a neat site that I thought you might find interesting.  It is called giveawayscout.com.  I checked it out and I found several good giveaways going on.  With the economy like it is this could be helpful.  I have entered in giveaways by bloggers and have gotten several nice gifts.  I either use them myself or give them as gifts at Christmas or other holidays.
Blessings!

Nice GiveaWay! 250 Free Cool Business Cards

Hello
I have the privilege of offering a giveaway to my readers.  Uprinting.com has kindly provided a chance to win 250 business cards for someone this month.  The cards they offer are very professional and attractive.  Because I am letting you know on my blog about this giveaway I also get 250 business cards.  I am excited!
If you have a business of your own this would be a good way to get your name out there in front of potential customers.  They are quality business cards.
There are many Mothers that use business cards now as a convenient way to give teachers, office personnel and others their contact information.  It is easier to give someone a card than to try and tell them your  name and address and phone number.

Are you walking around in Unforgiveness? Please Don't!

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:1,2

We do not need to walk around in a cloud of condemnation. We have forgiveness in Christ. If you have done something wrong, ask His forgiveness. You are immediately forgiven. You just have to accept that by faith. Jesus can do that. He can forgive us and He does. We have to forgive ourselves.

Get out from under that cloud and walk in the sunshine of forgiveness! It feels good. God can use your failures and turn them into something good!
